After going through the motions in school and not really knowing what I wanted to do in life, I stumbled into a course called “Business Valuations and Mergers & Acquisitions”. This changed my professional life forever. I found my spark!

Since then, I have been fortunate enough to work with and for entrepreneurs, as well as in a family run business. This experience provided me with a true understanding of the grit and perseverance required to start and grow a successful business.

I was fortunate enough to work with a mid-market accounting firm for ten years focusing on business valuations, mergers and acquisitions and financing for small to mid-market companies. The work was truly exhilarating, and I had the opportunity to work with dynamic, driven entrepreneurs from various industries on diverse projects.

During this time, I was asked to give a guest lecture at McGill University on the topic of Business Valuations. I was very nervous and reluctant to do so. Once the nerves settled, I loved it. The rich conversations and exchanges were energizing. I was fortunate to continue to create course content and teach on the topics of Business Valuation and Mergers & Acquisitions in both the Graduate Finance Diploma Program and CPA Program at McGill University. My passion for education and knowledge sharing continues until today.

Luck and being in the right place at the right time led me to become an investor and General Manager of a Third-Party Logistics Company (3PL). I had the privilege to lead the organization for five years. During that period, we made two acquisitions and established an office in Morocco, being the first Canadian 3PL with an office on the continent of Africa. More importantly, we developed a strong group of leaders who are currently the engine of the company today.
